Richard Carl Populorum

Age 58 of Mineral Wells, Texas, passed away Thursday April 29, 2010 at home, where he lived with his daughter, Vicky Lyons, after a debilitating and long illness.

Born in DeKalb, IL on April 20, 1935. Richard was employed by Illinois Tool Works in Elgin, IL, later Russellville, KY and lastly in Mineral Wells, TX, where he was the Plant Superintendent for the ITW plant there, until his retirement.

Preceded in death by his beloved father and mother, Edward and Violetta (nee Hansen) Populorum, a brother Edward and several aunts and uncles.

Survived by his wife Patricia (nee Bennett) Populorum, son Keith (Donna) Populorum, daughter Vicky Lyons, sister Janet (Roy) Robb and several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Saturday May 8, 2010 from 1:00PM until time of Services 2:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 219 North Joliet Street in Wilmington. Pastor Ann Spurgeon from the Channahon United Methodist Church will officiate and inurnment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Wilmington.
