Richard J. "Rick" McNabb

Age 59 of Morris, passed away peacefully Monday, June 28, 2010 at his home with all his children at his side. Born January 19, 1951 in Morris, Rick was a son of the late John "Jack" and Doris McNabb. He was raised and educated in Morris, and graduated from Morris Community High School with the class of 1971. Rick was married to Pam Kay(Helmes)McNabb who proceeded him. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and worked for 35 years as a machinist for Caterpillar Tractor Company. Richard was a nature lover and loved long winter walks.

Survivors include his mother: Doris McNabb of Morris; nine children: Kelly (Bonnie) McNabb, Donald (Paula) McNabb and Lisa Frosch all of Morris, Heather (Jason) Houck of Plainfield, Emily (Nicholas) Creasy and D'Andra (David) Button both of Coal City and Paul McNabb, Kevin McNabb and Becky McNabb all of Morris; ten grandchildren and one great grandchild; two brothers John (Pam) McNabb and Thomas (Jamie Moore) McNabb both of Morris; four sisters: Sue McNabb of Kankakee, Amie (Mike) Chaney of Texas and Mary (Mark) Davidson and Julie McNabb, both of Morris; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Rick was preceded in death by his father Jack; wife Pam; one brother Mike McNabb and one nephew Jason McNabb.

Visitation and Video Tribute will be held on Thursday July 1, 2010 between the hours of 4:00pm and 8:00pm at Reeves Funeral Home, 408 East Washington Street (one block west of Illinois Route 47) in Morris. Funeral Services will follow on Friday, July 2, 2010 at 10:00am in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Morris, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Reverend Richard Smith officiating.

Preferred memorials in lieu of flowers may be made as gifts in Rick's memory to his family for distribution to local charities of their choosing.
