Richard L. Mann
Age 64 of Paris, Missouri and formerly Wilmington, passed away Saturday March 7, 2009 at Audrain Medical Center in Mexico, Missouri.
Born December 07, 1944 in Terra Haute, Indiana, Dick was a son of the late Richard and Edith "Joy" Mann. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served during the Vietnam conflict. Dick was a member of the Pipefitters Local #422, from where he retired. Dick enjoyed hunting, baseball, camping, fishing, country rides and his grandchildren.
Survivors include his son Patrick (Judith) Mann of Wilmington; daughter Michelle (David) Macina of Mt. Prospect; one sister Jane (Michael) Matlock of Wilmington; seven grandchildren: Jacqueline, Joseph, Lucas and Megan M. Mann and Nicholas, Daniel and Olivia Macina, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents.
The family will receive friends on Saturday March 14, 2009 at St. Rose Catholic Church, 624 S. Kankakee Street in Wilmington from 9:00AM until time of Memorial Mass 11:00AM. Rev. Steve Bondi and Deacon Don Dyer will officiate and inurnment with full military honors will follow on Monday March 16th at 10:00AM in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.
Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Dick's memory to Kuzma Care Cottage or the Veterans Administration.
