Richard D. Hibler
Age 72 of Mazon, passed away suddenly on July 13, 2014 in Paris, Missouri.
Born February 9, 1942 in Joliet, Illinois, Richard was a former resident of Lockport and Wilmington, Illinois.
He was employed at the Joliet Army Ammunition Plant, and later retired as a union pipefitter, where he worked as a Quality Control Inspector at several nuclear plants. Richard enjoyed raising and showing Appaloosa horses in his younger years, and took great pleasure in fishing, gardening and making his famous dill pickles. He enjoyed a good cup of coffee, conversation, and spending time with his grandson.
Survivors include two daughters, Kim Hibler of Diamond, Illinois and Pamela (James) Hazzard of Mazon, Illinois; one grandson Cody Hazzard of Mazon, Illinois; sister Barbara (Derral) Snyder of Joliet, Illinois; one niece, two nephews and several aunts and uncles.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents Charles P., Sr. and Margaret M. Hibler, and two brothers: Charles, Jr. and Michael Hibler.
Cremation rites have been accorded and inurnment will be held at a later date.
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday July 26, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. until time of memorial service 1:00 p.m. at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington. Reverend Steve Bondi will officiate.
