Richard Killey Danielson
"Dick"
Age 78 of Wilmington, passed away Friday April 18, 2008 at his home farm in Wilmington, with his loving wife of 37 years at his side.
Born June 09, 1929 in Hinsdale, IL, Dick was a son of the late Frank and Dorothy Killey-Danielson. He was a graduate of Wilmington High School and attended both the University of Illinois and Purdue University. Dick was a veteran of the United States Army and served our country during the Korean Conflict. He was engaged in trucking and farming the greatest part of his life. Dick was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Wilmington, advocate of the National Rifleman's Association (NRA) and Duck's Unlimited. He loved hunting, fishing and anything in nature. Dick was an avid reader and a noted historian of the Civil War. With his sense of humor, Dick had numerous friends.
Survivors include his loving wife June nee Marleau; sister and brothers-in-law Gloria (William) Preusse of Wisconsin and Bernard Smith of North Carolina; nephews: Daniel (Colleen) Smith of North Carolina, Paul (Beth) Preusse of Illinois, Paige (Joseph) Petty of North Carolina and Julie (Mark) Mitchell of Wisconsin; great nieces and nephews and special friends: The Merle Osburn family, Nial and Barb Osburn, Johnny Beth and James Kwasneske, Ina Lou and Gerry Vickers, Claire Strawson, June and Gene Kahler and Phyllis and Wayne Milton.
