Richard E. Barton, Jr.
Age 53 0f Wilmington, passed away Sunday November 26, 2006 at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee.
Born July 6, 1953 in Joliet, Richard is a son of Maridean and the late Richard E. Barton Sr. He was employed as a Boilermaker for Chicago Local #1, was a member of the 1st United Methodist Church of Wilmington and the Wilmington Masonic Lodge AF&AM. Richard loved fishing and riding his Harley Davidson.
Survivors include four sons: Richard E. Barton, III, Patrick M. Clifford, Andrew L. Barton, and Christopher J. Barton and four daughters: Elizabeth (David) Haga, Janet L. Clifford, Katie S. Barton and Kimberly R. Barton, all of Wilmington. His mother Maridean Barton of Coal City; three sisters: Sue Barton of Pontiac, Denise (Robert) Brown of Morris and Ann (Kevin) McClean of Coal City; three Grandchildren: Maja Mallory, David Haga, Jr. and Halle Haga and the mother to his children: Patricia (Nugent) Barton of Wilmington, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Richard was preceded in death by his father.
Visitation will be held on Thursday November 30, 2006 from 2:00PM until time of Masonic Services 6:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 219 North Joliet Street (Two blocks North of Illinois Route 53 / Baltimore Street) in Wilmington. Funeral services will then follow Thursday evening at 7:00PM in the funeral home with Rev. David Lagos-Fonseca from the First United Methodist Church of Wilmington officiating. All family and friends are invited to join together for a funeral dinner at the Wilmington Masonic Temple immediately following the funeral service.
Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Wilmington.
