Renee J. Seibert
Age 68 of Wilmington, passed away Tuesday July 12, 2011 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet.
Born August 31, 1942 in Chicago, Renee was a daughter of the late Burton and Ruby Baker-Logan. She was a graduate of Thornton Township High School in Harvey, Illinois with the Class of 1960. On September 24, 1960, Renee married Richard W. Seibert and together they had their marriage blessed by Fr. Powers at Ascension Catholic Parish in Harvey. Renee and Richard lived in South Holland from 1967 until moving to Wilmington in 1995. Renee worked as a beautician in South Holland, as well as served as office manager for Ragland and Associates. Upon moving to Wilmington, Renee gained employment with Ramcorp in 1995, and it was there from where she retired in 2002. Renee was a member of Saint Rose Catholic Church in Wilmington, where she was actively involved with the choir, and was a guild member of The Quiltmakers in Kankakee. She had a great love of quilting and sewing, as well as enjoyed crafting and reading. Renee was a collector of Precious Moments and can be remembered for her great love of family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years: Richard W. Seibert; four children: Jeanette Petrovich of Wilmington, Roxanne (Michael) Guadagno of Plainfield, Lisa (Aubrey) Glisson of Braidwood and Juliet (Brian) Howerton of Hobart, Indiana; twelve grandchildren: Eddie Petrovich, Ruby Petrovich, Ian Petrovich, Taryn Petrovich, Lisa Brigham, Benjamin Guadagno, Felicia Gonski, Allen Gonski, Laura Gonski, Karen Gonski, Brianna Howerton and Christian Howerton; three great grandchildren: Logan, Nadia and Kinzie and one brother Burton (Carol) Logan of Crown Point, Indiana, as well as numerous brothers and sisters-in-law.
Renee was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson Michael Burton Gonski (1991)
Visitation and Video Tribute will be held on Thursday July 14, 2011 between the hours of 4:00PM and 8:00PM at Freitag-Reeves & Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington. Funeral services will follow Friday July 15th at 11:00AM in Saint Rose Catholic Church, 624 South Kankakee Street in Wilmington, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Reverend Steve Bondi officiating.
Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Renee's memory to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
