Raymond Walter Fox
Age 57 of Wilmington, passed away Saturday September 19, 2009 at Adventist Hospital in Bolingbrook.
Born February 11, 1952 in Joliet, Raymond was a son of the late Walter E. and Loretta Hickman-Fox. He was a graduate of Joliet Twp. East High School and continued his education in the fields of plumbing, boiler operation and pipefitting. Ray retired from Caterpillar in 2002 after 30 years of service, and locally owned Fox's Plumbing in Wilmington. He was a member of the Machinists Union, International Assoc. of Machinists, Illinois Aerospace Workers and the Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall of Wilmington. Ray was known for his love of talking about God and truly enjoyed gardening, raising cattle and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his loving wife Nancy (nee Smith); two children: Robert R. (Rachael) Fox of Channahon and Geri Therese (Michael) Morgan of Wilmington; five grandchildren: Tobias and Kai Fox and Abigail, Megan and Anna Morgan and three brothers: Kenneth (Gloria) Fox of Wilmington, Daniel Fox of Pontiac and Gregory Fox of Wilmington, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents and one niece Tammy Fox.
Visitation and Video Tribute will be held on Friday September 25, 2009 from 4:00PM until time of services 7:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 219 North Joliet Street (two blocks North of Illinois Route 53 / Baltimore Street) in Wilmington. Daniel Dickerson will officiate and interment will be private.
Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Ray's memory to the American Lung Association.
