Age 60 of Wilmington and formerly Joliet, passed away Wednesday May 8, 2013 at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet.

Born September 9, 1952 in Augusta, Georgia, Randy is a son of the late Harvey Ellis and Alberta Jones-Reavis. He was raised and educated in Joliet and on October 27, 1973, Randy married Terry A. Carlin. He worked as a heavy equipment operator with Local 150 for over 30 years. Aside from being a member of Local 150 Operating Engineers, Randy belonged to Trinity United Methodist Church in Joliet. Randy truly enjoyed fishing, collecting and playing guitars and spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years Terry; three children: Randy H. (Gena M.) Reavis of Diamond, Michelle D. Reavis of Wilmington, North Carolina and Peggy A. Reavis of Wilmington, Illinois; four grandchildren: James M. Harris, Brian M. Harris, Zachary A. Harris and Alexis A. Reavis; four brothers: Donnie (Ruth) Gresham and Jerry (Sharon) Gresham, both of Wilmington, Harvey Reavis of Joliet and Ricky (Linda) Reavis of Wilmington; one sister Ruthann Reavis of Wilmington; two sisters-in-law Peggy (Jim) Pausche of Sheridan and Carol (Frank) Betkis of Minooka, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Randy's Life will be held Saturday May 11, 2013 beginning at 1:00PM at the home of Randy's son in Diamond. For information or directions please phone: 815-545-1375.

A private family inurnment will be held in Elmhurst Cemetery in Joliet at a later date.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Randy's memory to Wish Upon a Star Foundation.
