Ralph Victor Stateman, III

Age 29 of Joliet and formerly Morris, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday April 22, 2009.

Born March 21, 1980 in Pontiac, Ralph is the son of Mary Winchester and Ralph Victor Stateman, II, both of Morris. He was raised and educated in Morris and was a graduate of Morris High School in 1999. On March 22, 2002, Ralph married Catherine Tucker, and together they resided in Joliet. Ralph was a skilled carpenter and was employed with the Carpenters Local Union 174 of Joliet. He was a Chicago Bears fan, and was known for his love of motorcycles and dirt bikes, music, his truck and Doberman.

Survivors include his wife Cathie; mother Mary Winchester; father Ralph V. Stateman, II, one sister Janice (Dan) Thompson of Morris; two nieces: Sarena and Haley; maternal grandmother Beulah Winchester of Ramsey, IL and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Ralph was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Lawrence Winchester and paternal grandparents: Ralph and Norma Stateman.

The family will receive friends on Monday April 27, 2009 from 4:00PM until the time of services 7:30PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 408 East Washington Street (one block East of Illinois Route 47) in Morris. Pastor Kevin Yandell from New Community Christian Church will officiate.

Preferred memorials in lieu of flowers may be made as gifts in Ralph's memory to New Community Christian Church, 705 East Washington Street, Morris, Illinois 60450.
