Phyllis Lucille Rose
Age 89 of Morris and formerly Mazon and Joliet, passed away Saturday December 08, 2007 at Morris Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
Born July 31, 1918 in Wausaukee, Wisconsin, Phyllis was a daughter of the late Carter William Schell and Viola Maude LeCroy-Long. She was raised and educated in Mazon and can be remembered as loving animals, especially cats. Phyllis also loved to take care of people; she adored her family and found the good in everybody.
Survivors include two granddaughters: Sheila Neill and Linda Larson, both of Morris; four great grandchildren: Marie (Ronald) Sjostrom of Gardner, Richard, Jr. (Roberta) Neill of Marseilles, Barbara Neill of Gardner and Lucy (Joe) Quick of Streator; seven great-great grandchildren: Allen Platt, Dakota Sjostrom, Richard Neill, III, Austin Neill, Donivin Quick, Briel Quick and Kirra Quick and several nieces and nephews, as well as numerous cousins.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, one son in infancy, daughter Viola Larson; two brothers: William Schell and Henry Long; two sisters: Leota Walker and Alverta Sours and one grandson Paul Lampman.
Cremation Rites have been accorded and a memorial service will be held on Friday December 14, 2007 at 2:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 408 East Washington Street (one block East of Illinois Route 47) in Morris with Pastor Jerry Hill officiating.
Preferred memorials in lieu of flowers may be made as gifts in Phyllis' memory to her family for distribution to local charities of their choice.
