Phyllis Jean Casey

Age 75 of Coal City, and formerly of Chicago and Cicero, passed away Friday, April 29, 2016 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home.

Born October 24, 1940 in Coleman, Kentucky, Phyllis Jean was a daughter of the late John and Bertha (Kinder) Stacy. She was raised in Johns Creek, Bigg and Feds Creek, Kentucky, and graduated from Feds Creek High School with the Class of 1957. On December 22, 1969, Jean married Everette Casey in Chicago, and he survives. Jean was a member of the Moose Lodge, and formerly owned and operated Dynasty Lounge in Cicero. She enjoyed reading and watching game shows, and will be remembered for her love of spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Phyllis Jean is the wife of Everette "Casey"; mother of: Diana (Bob) Grogan, Timothy L. (Kathy) Adkins and Lisa (Johnny) Kerr; grandmother to: Casey Pantazopoulos, James Osborne, Timothy J. Adkins, Samantha Grogan, Jeremy Adkins, Jacqualine (John) Jacob, Robert Grogan, Briana Adkins, Zak Grogan, Frank Osborne, Jesse Osborne, Elizabeth Kerr and Mason Kerr; great grandmother of: Ethan Vescovi, Ian Hood, Logan Osborne, Brody Osborne, Niko Pantazopoulos, Layla Jacob, Sophia Jacob and Dean Adkins, and sister to: Winford (Lois) Stacy, John (Elaine) Stacy, Lillian (Joe) Cheatham, Christine (Harold) Dotson, Magdalene (Harry) Stecker, Edith (Jack) Dukes, Florence (Lonnie) Sneed-Jackson, Mary (Joe) Lumpp and Rhoda Carolyn (Bill) Stacy-Jenke.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Winford and five sisters: Lillian, Christine, Magdalene, Edith and Mary.

Cremation rites have been accorded and a private family celebration of Jean's life has been held.
