Peter F. Rampa, Jr.

Age 65 of Wilmington, passed away Tuesday December 21, 2010 at Hines VA Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois.

Born January 18, 1945 in Joliet, Peter was a son of the late Peter F., Sr. and Marjorie Ritchie-Rampa. He was raised and educated in Wilmington and attended Southern Illinois University. Pete was a Veteran of the United States Army and worked his entire life as a brick layer for his family business Ramcorp.

Survivors include his children: Donica Rampa of Redondo Beach, California and Peter F. (Sue) Rampa, III and Lon Rampa, both of Wilmington; two grandchildren: Abigael and Peter F. Rampa, IV; three brothers: Carlo (Maria) Rampa of Chicago and Lawrence (Anne Dugan) Rampa and David (Cheryl) Rampa, both of Wilmington; one sister Janet (Haluk) Odziemer of Mountain View, California and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday December 27, 2010 from 9:00AM until time of funeral service 11:00AM at the Freitag-Reeves & Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington. Deacon Don Dyer from Saint Rose Catholic Church will officiate and burial with Military Honors will follow in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Pete's memory to Kuzma Care Cottage, 635 South Main Street, Wilmington, IL 60481
