Peggy Ann Haake

Age 81 of Coal City, passed away Friday October 15, 2010 at Morris Hospital.

Born June 25, 1929 in Coal City, Peggy was a daughter of the late Harley and Ada Bohnenkamper. She was raised and educated in Coal City and was a graduate of Coal City High School with the Class of 1947. On August 26, 1950, Peggy married Le Roy Haake in Assumption Catholic Church and together they have lived in Coal City their entire married life. Peggy worked as a clerk at UniRoyal until her retirement and was a member of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church in Coal City. She can be remembered for her love of crocheting and cooking, and truly enjoyed her flower gardens and traveling.

Survivors include her loving husband of 60 years Le Roy; two nephews: Lee Collier of Carbon Hill and Tom Collier of Las Vegas, Nevada and five great nieces and nephews: Rob (Terri) Collier of Alabama, Chris (Brenda) Collier and Phillip (Cassie) Collier, both of Coal City, Cathy Collier of Joliet and Jon (Toni) Collier of Hot Springs, Arkansas, as well as numerous great-great nieces and nephews.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; sister and brother-in-law Betty Lou and William Collier and niece Donna Jean Collier.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday October 19, 2010 from 9:00AM until 10:00AM at Reeves Funeral Home, 75 North Broadway (one block North of Illinois Route 113) in Coal City. Funeral services will follow at 10:30AM in Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, 245 South Kankakee Street in Coal City, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Reverend Robert Noesen officiating.

Burial will be in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood. Pallbearers will be Chris Collier, Phillip Collier, Larry Shepkowski, Nick Shepkowski, Mark Kuriger and Scott Kuriger.
