Pauline Rice

Age 86 of Chicago, passed away suddenly on Thursday January 25, 2007 at her home.

Born April 20, 1920 in Marathon, Iowa, Pauline was a daughter of the late Charles and Florence (Beckstrom) Schryver. She was employed by Cotter and Company as a Collator for numerous years prior to her retirement. Pauline was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan and enjoyed fishing.

Survivors include three sons: Richard Rice of Peoria, Michael (Linda) Rice and Thomas Rice, both of Chicago; two daughters: Darlene (Bruce) Bevins of Kentucky and Elaine (Brian) Matke of Essex. (12) Grandchildren and (5) Great Grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, husband Leon and brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday January 30, 2007 from 10:00AM until time of funeral service 12:00 Noon at Reeves Funeral Home, 219 North Joliet Street (two blocks North of Illinois Route 53 / Baltimore Street) in Wilmington. Rev. Royan Rodney from Grace Lutheran Church will officiate and interment will follow in Iowa.
