Paul E. Wicks

Paul E. Wicks, 67, of Morris, passed away Sunday, March 21, 2021 at Christ Hospital in Oaklawn.
Born May 11, 1953 in Morris, he was the son of Lyle and Fern (Finkbein) Wicks. He attended Lisbon Grade School and Newark High School. Paul married Janice Sharpe on April 24, 1972 and they lived all of their married life in Morris. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army where he was a paratrooper of the 82nd Airborne Division. Paul was employed for 37 years at Lyondell Chemical in Morris.
He is survived by his loving wife, Janice; his son, Jason Wicks of Morris; one grandson, Eric; one brother, Les Wicks of Ramah, CO; one sister, Lydia (Arden) Johnson of Johnson Creek, WI; several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents; one son, Eric Wicks; one brother, Lynn Wicks.
He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and grandson.
Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association or Joliet Area Community Hospice.
A memorial service for the family will be held at the West Lisbon Cemetery at a later date.
