Paul L. Ruffatti
Age 52 of Coal City, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 1, 2018.
Born March 19, 1966 in Joliet, Illinois, Paul Louis is the son of Lorraine (Endrst) Ruffatti of Coal City and the late Louis P. Ruffatti. He was raised in Coal City and graduated from Coal City High School with the Class of 1984. Paul was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Local #265 and was employed with Roberts Environmental in Tinley Park.
One who loved the outdoors, Paul belonged to both the Area Number One Outdoor Club and the Coal City Area Club. He enjoyed deer hunting, and was a fan of the Chicago Blackhawks.
Survivors include his mother, Lorraine; two sisters: Gail Brown of Coal City and Lynn (Jeff) Fors of Batavia; one nephew, Matthew Fors; three nieces: Sarah Fors, Elizabeth Fors and Lauren Brown; his aunt and uncle: Pat and Don Bianchetta, and numerous cousins, as well as friends.
Paul was preceded in death by his father Louis in 2017.
Visitation and video tribute will be held on Thursday, April 5, 2018 between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at Reeves Funeral Home, 75 North Broadway (one block north of Illinois Route 113) in Coal City. Funeral services will follow Friday morning, April 6, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, 215 South Kankakee Street in Coal City. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Reverend Robert Noesen officiating.
Burial will be in Braceville-Gardner Cemetery, where Paul will be laid to rest with his father.
