Jeff Fritz

Age 55 of Carbon Hill, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday August 18, 2010 at his home.

Born April 22, 1955, Paul Jeffery Fritz was a son of the late Paul John and Wanda Mae Cooley-Fritz. He was raised and educated in Joliet and was a graduate of Joliet West High School with the class of 1973. He was employed for 28 years with CMC America in Joliet and was a member of Coal City United Methodist Church. On September 12, 2003, Jeff married Suzanne (nee Conn) and together they resided in Carbon Hill. Jeff can be remembered for his love of fishing and truly enjoyed spending time at the Coal City Area Club.

Survivors include his wife Suzanne; three step-children: Josh (Amber) Robinson of Arkansas, Dakota Robinson of Coal City and Zachary Montgomery of Carbon Hill; one grandson Connor Robinson; one sister Debbie Teufer of Joliet; one niece Amy (Mike) Vigna of Plainfield; one nephew Scott (Tabitha) Harrison of Georgia and one great nephew Dylan Landerman.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents and numerous aunts and uncles.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday August 24, 2010 at 4:00PM at Coal City United Methodist Church, 6805 East McArdle Road in Coal City, with Dr. Tom Logsdon officiating.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Jeff's memory to the Coal City United Methodist Church Building Fund.
