Patricia McLuckie

Age 83 of Coal City, Illinois passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at Ascension Mercy Medical Center in Aurora, Illinois with her daughter by her side.

Born October 21, 1941, in Chicago, Illinois, Patricia Irene was the daughter of Robert Henry and Jewell Beatrice (Austin) Igel. She was raised in Chicago, where she completed her education and graduated from high school. Patricia built a dedicated career in secretarial services and retired from Diageo North America, formerly Gordon Spirits.

A woman of Catholic faith, Pat found joy in reading and was known for her warm and gentle nature. Never one to speak ill of others, she had an incredible gift for seeing the good in everyone she met. Patricia’s kindness, compassion, and unwavering positivity will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Above all, family and her grandchildren were such a cherished part of Pat's life. She leaves behind a legacy of grace, love, and quiet strength that will be cherished forever by all her family and friends.

Survivors include her husband, John whom she married May 21, 1991; daughter, Cheryl (Mark) Johnson of St. Charles, Illinois; step-son, John  M. (Lisa) McLuckie of Wilmington, Illinois; grandchildren: Ashley (Ben), Kayla (Ethan), Kristen (Tyler), Sierra, Logan, John James “J.J.” and Adam (Allison); two great grandchildren: Hudson and Leo; her sister, Michelle “Mike” Lundberg, and one brother-in-law, Dale (Shirley) McLuckie.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial visitation will be held at Reeves Funeral Home, 75 North Broadway (one block north of Illinois Route 113) in Coal City on Thursday, February 27, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. until time of memorial service, 11:00 a.m. Reverend Josh Miller from Assumption Catholic Parish in Coal City will preside.

Pat will be privately laid to rest in Braceville-Gardner Cemetery at a later date.
