Norman E. Hopkins

Norman E. Hopkins, 83, formerly of Morris passed away peacefully on May 25, 2023, in his Arizona home surrounded by his family. Born May 24, 1940 in Odell, IL as the youngest child of Florence and William Hopkins. As a young man, Norm made 74 jumps to skydive out of a “perfectly good plane”. He was an avid follower of flat track racing and rode coast to coast over the years to catch them all, cementing his love of all things Harley and wind therapy. He had a passion for music, of all types, but Willie Nelson stood out above all others. Norm lived life to the fullest each day and leaves a legacy unmatched by many. He may have raised four children but was “Dad” to many! As the owner of Norm’s Lounge (Morris, IL) for 17 years, then a 10-year break, he is known to most as Norm of the Last Chance Saloon (in the heart of Millington) Crazy Chicken and parties to write home about. Norm loved hard, lived harder and laughed hardest and will be missed my many and forgotten by few. Rest easy and God speed on the highway in heaven that will lead to dancing the night away. A private family burial will take place, putting him at rest with his wife at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate in his name to your local A.B.A.T.E. chapter.
Preceded in death his wife Kathy, and his first wife Carolyne Parents: Florence and William Hopkins Sisters: Marge (Joe) Rygh, Thelma (Floyd) Linder, Gerri (Mike) Louis.
