Norma R. Lazier

Age 90 of Coal City passed away Tuesday October 18, 2016 at Park Pointe Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Morris.

Born June 16, 1926 in Coal City, Norma Rose was a daughter of Lawrence and Mary Capet-Monbrum. She was raised and educated in Coal City, and went on to marry John Lazier. Norma was a member of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church in Coal City, was active with the Girl Scouts of America, and belonged to the Coal City Junior Women’s Club. She was a simple woman that will be missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her son: Neal Lazier of Coal City, and numerous other relatives.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents and her husband John in 2004.

Cremation rites have been accorded, and a private inurnment will be in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, where Norma will be laid to rest with her late husband John.
