Age 82 of Channahon, Illinois, formerly of Mt. Vernon, Illinois, died Thursday, June 15, 2023 at her home with her family by her side.
Born January 26, 1941 in Mt. Vernon, Norma Jean was a daughter of Arley Terry and Wanda (nee Allen) Beasley. She was raised in Mt. Vernon and on August 10, 1957 she married Ronald Troy Crenshaw, and together they would make their home in Channahon, Illinois and enjoy 64 years of marriage.
Norma was a member of the Channahon United Methodist Church, life time member of the Morris Rod & Gun Club, and was an avid square dancer. She worked for the Olin Box Company for many years, as well as Joann Fabrics, but her most important role was that of being a wife and mother. Norma devoted her life to making sure her family was well taken care of and knew that they were loved. She made many memories with them over the years, especially at Kentucky Lake which was a special place for her family. Norma was the best wife, mom, and grandma, cherishing all of the good time with her family, and she will be dearly missed by those who loved and knew her.
Survivors include her daughters: Marissa (Larry) Weber of Morris, Illinois and Rhonda Crenshaw of Channahon; three grandchildren: Douglas Weber and Stephanie (Jason) Emmons, both of Morris, and Cassandra Crenshaw of Channahon; two brothers and two sisters: Carolyn (William) Tate of Mt. Vernon, Daniel Terry of Carbondale, Illinois, and Jimmie (Millie) Beasley and Doris (the late Lonnie) Cooper, both of Mt. Vernon; three sisters-in-law: Kyra (the late Stephen) Crenshaw of Channahon, Rosemary (the late Fred) Ehrman of Coal City, Illinois, and Marilyn (Dave) Stinson of Janesville, Wisconsin; and numerous nieces and nephews who very special to Norma.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents, Arley (Gladys) Terry and Wanda Beasley; her husband, Ronald Crenshaw, and her son, Kenneth Crenshaw; brothers and sister: Shirley Beasley, Bobby Beasley, and Charles Terry; and two sisters-in-law: Janet Ridenour and Karen Cole.
Per her wishes, flameless cremation rites are being accorded, and the family will have a memorial service on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Channahon United Methodist Church, 24751 West Eames Street, in Channahon at 11:00 a.m. A private graveside service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Morris.
Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Norma's memory to Lightways Hospice or to the family for their distribution.

Cremation services and memorial arrangements have been made under the direction and care of Reeves & Baskerville Funeral Homes and Crematory in Morris (815) 942-2500.
