Age 91 of Wilmington, passed away Sunday October 5, 2014 at Morris Hospital.

Born February 24, 1923 in Xenia, Illinois, Neva was a daughter of the late John A. and Fannie Ellen (King) Logan. On January 30, 1941, Neva married Paul Peavler in Jackson, Missouri and he preceded her on July 23, 1997. Neva worked for J.P. Goulding in Rockdale prior to gaining employment with UniRoyal. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Wilmington and belonged to the Women of the Moose. Neva was an avid bingo enthusiast and in years past enjoyed sewing and quilting. She will be remembered as a master seamstress and wonderful cook.

Survivors include three children: Bob (Renee') Peavler of Diamond, Paula (Randy) Price of Wilmington and Jennifer (Neal) Nelson of Coal City; (12) grandchildren: John Peavler, Mark (Atiorn) Peavler, Jack (Melissa) Peavler, Annette Totten, Rob (Alice Renee') Peavler, Jeff Friddle, Steve (Tina) Friddle, Tonya (Mark) Kahler, Stephanie (Brandon) Bailey, Christina Nelson, Coley Nelson and Dana Nelson; (12) great grandchildren: Rachael, Josh, Steve, Paige, Jennifer, Brittany, Jordan, Becca, Jake, Ryne, Colton and Grayson; one sister-in-law Janice Lewis of Louisville, Illinois, and three nephews: Bud Montgomery of Kansas, Mike Warren of Flora, Illinois and Larry Logan of Farina, Illinois, as well as her dear bingo buddies Janice Alsbury and Katie Dunn, both of Wilmington.

Neva was preceded in death by her parents; husband Paul; two sons: John Roger in infancy and Gary in 2012; one grandson Gary Douglas Peavler in 1995, and brothers and sisters: Robert Logan, Arlie Logan, Darrell Logan, Grace Hazell, Anna Warren-Yates, Edith Darr and Gertie Krantz.

Visitation and video tribute will be held on Wednesday October 8, 2014 between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington. Funeral services will follow Thursday morning October 9th at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Reverend Thomas Kingery from the First United Methodist Church of Wilmington will officiate.

Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Wilmington, and pallbearers will be: Mark Peavler, Jack Peavler, Rob Peavler, Steve Friddle, Jeff Friddle, Mark Kahler and Brandon Bailey.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Neva's memory to a charity of the donor's choosing.
