"Nan"

Age 60 of Morris and formerly Lockport, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday July 5, 2011 at Morris Hospital.

Born February 12, 1951 in Joliet, Nan was a daughter of the late Charles Curtis and Gloria Beatrice Pesavento-Bode. She was raised and educated in Lockport and graduated with the Lockport Township High School Class of 1969. Nan was employed at Johnson and Johnson Personal Products in Wilmington for 17 years, and most recently was working as a caregiver. She was an excellent cook, and aside from her love of cooking, she cherished the time spent with her grandchildren. Nan can be remembered for her enthusiasm for Harley Davidson's and will live on through her anatomical gift of sight.

Survivors include her four children: Curtis (Kristin) Bendt of San Francisco, California, Christina (Isaac) Bendt-Camacho of Marseilles, Nicole Gomez of Morris and Tiffany (Danielle Vigil) Bendt of Albuquerque, New Mexico; eight grandchildren: Thor, Kael, Luis, Erik, Isaac, Aaliyah, Nevaeh and Ella; one brother George (Denise) Bode of Joliet, one nephew Christopher (Kasey) Bode of Spokane, Washington and one niece Tamara (Shawn) Roark of Joliet, as well as her special companion Mijo.

Nan was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held on Friday July 8, 2011 from 2:00PM until time of funeral service 5:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 408 East Washington Street (one block East of Illinois Route 47) in Morris.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Nan's memory to her family for distribution to local charities of their choosing.
