Age 54 of Braidwood, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday September 2, 2008, following a courageous battle with brain cancer.

Born September 5, 1953 in Joliet, Nancy was a daughter of the late Louis and Marie Vaughn-O'Shea. She was a graduate of Lockport West High School with the Class of 1971 and lived in the Wilmington, Braidwood and Lockport areas. On April 4, 1987 Nancy married Richard Quigley in St. Rose Catholic Church in Wilmington. She was most recently employed as an office coordinator for the Department of Correction, and served at Statesville Prison and the Collins Street facility from 1979-2005. Nancy was also a partner with her husband Richard at Rich's Lock and Key in Wilmington. She was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Wilmington, was an avid Cub's fan and loved to play bingo.

Survivors include her loving husband Richard; son Brian (Christy) of Port St. Lucie, Florida; two grandchildren: Jacob Slattery and Kylee Shea Quigley; one brother Gerald (Margie) O'Shea of Georgia; one sister Patricia (John) Regis of Elwood; her mother-in-law Jean Quigley of Wilmington; two brothers-in-law: Steve (Becky) of Wilmington and Paul of Wisconsin; sister-in-law Pat Lemke of Braidwood; nieces and nephews: Joshua, Travis, Lisa (Andy), Michelle (Brian), Kevin, Jennifer, Kaitlyn, Sean, Ronnie, Rachel and Russell; great niece and nephews: Rylee, Bryce and Liam and special friends: Helen Koltka of Wilmington and Carol Miller of Coal City, as well as numerous friends, including those from the Department of Corrections.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; brother Louis Anthony; sister-in-law Norma Cohan and father-in-law Ronald Quigley.

Visitation and Video Tribute will be held on Monday September 8, 2008 between the hours of 4:00PM and 8:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 219 North Joliet Street (two blocks North of Illinois Route 53 / Baltimore Street) in Wilmington. Funeral services will follow on Tuesday September 9th at 10:00AM in St. Rose Catholic Church in Wilmington, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Rev. Steve Bondi officiating.

Entombment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park in Joliet.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Nancy's memory to the Brain Cancer Society or Joliet Area Community Hospice.
