Nancy L. Norris

Age 66 of Diamond and formerly Morris, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday June 26, 2013 at Morris Hospital.

Born December 23, 1946 in Felicity, Ohio, Nancy was a daughter of H. Dale and Julia Jeanette Bowyer-Dick. She was raised in Ohio and worked as a CNA, most recently at The Grundy County Home in Morris. Nancy was a member of First Christian Church in Morris and will be remembered for her love of sewing and cross-stitch.

Survivors include her husband Robert, whom she married August 6, 1976 in Morris; seven children: Desmond (Cristina) Norris of Streator, Deserae (Scott) Carlson of Plano, Robert, Jr. (Karen) Norris of Streator, Arthur (Maria) Day and Carl Lee (Ruth) Day, both of Ohio, Bernice (Steve) Cosmah of Kentucky and Tony Day of Texas; (14) grandchildren; four great grandchildren; brother and sisters: Patricia (Dean) Derby of Camargo, Illinois, Ed (Erla) Dick of Amelia, Ohio and Robin Walsh of Verona; her mother-in-law Christine Norris of Morris; brothers and sisters-in-law: Linda Rossio of Joliet, William (Marsha) Norris of Morris, Nancy (Robert) Krug of Morris, Thomas (Joann) Norris of San Antonio, Texas and Jeff Norris of Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents: H. Dale Dick and Judy Shew and her father-in-law Noah Norris.

Cremation rites have been accorded and there will be no services per the request of Nancy.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Nancy's memory to a charity of the donor's choosing.
