Nancy P. Henderson

Nancy P. Henderson, 77, of Morris, passed away peacefully Friday, August 25, 2023 at her home with her family by her side.
Born January 20, 1946 in Morris, she was the daughter of Paul and Grace (Richmond) Hann. She graduated from Morris Community High School with the class of 1964. She married Thomas Henderson on May 30, 1964 at the First Presbyterian Church in Morris. They lived all of their married life in Morris, Il. For 49 years she was employed at Piggly Wiggly, Eagle, and Jewel Foods in Morris.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas of Morris; one daughter, Robin (Raymond) Mitchell of Morris; three grandchildren, Tabitha (Chris) Regnier of Channahon, Aleda Mitchell of Morris and Zachary Mitchell of Morris; three great grandchildren, Gemma Mitchell, Christopher and Tahlulah Regnier; nephew, Douglas (Julie) Cardot of Morris; niece, Debra Mallcheck of Oakdale, CA; great nephews, Scott Mallcheck of Manteca, CA, Jason (Erin) Cardot of Fairview, NC; great nieces, Denise Jones of Shelbyville, TN, Meghan (Sean) Chancey of Plainfield; great great nephew, Declan Clancey; great great nieces, Kendra Jones, Ava and Emma Clancey.
Preceding her in death were her parents and her sister, Barbara Cardot.
She was a faithful, life long member of the First Presbyterian Church where she served in many capacities over the years: Committee member, Sunday School teacher, Choir member, wedding coordinator, a deacon and an elder. She was a loyal member of the Women of the Moose devoting many years of service to all ages as well.
Nancy enjoyed music, travel, spending time with her family, grandchildren and many friends. She was fulfilled by sharing kind acts of service to others.
Memorials may be given to the First Presbyterian Church Morris or donor’s choice.
Funeral services will be held Thursday August 31, 2023 at 12:00 P.M. at the First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Stephen and Rev. Hope Sibson officiating. Interment will follow in Saratoga Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 10:30 A.M. until time of service at the church.
