Age 92 of Goose Lake, passed away peacefully Tuesday evening, December 6, 2016 at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet.

Born April 9, 1924 in Chicago, Mildred was a daughter of the late Frank and Barbara (Augustin) Kuchynka.  She was raised in Chicago; graduated from Austin High School, and went on to work for Motorola where she would later retire from as secretary to the Vice President of the company.  On April 11, 1959 Mildred would marry Warren Fencl in Wilmington. Together they resided in Wilmington for the first 20 years of their marriage until building their Goose Lake home in 1979.

Mildred was a member of the Coal City Seniors Club and loved doing home crafts such as knitting, crocheting and needle work.  Her most treasured activity was getting to work alongside Warren as a member of the 34th Infantry Division - Sergeant at Arms.  Mildred always said that when she married Warren she married the 34th Division.

Survivors include her daughter: Susan Fencl of Lockport; two grandchildren: Samuel and Sabrina Sanches of Morris; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and great-great nieces and great-great nephews, as well as her dear friends: Gayle and Ray Kalvaitis of Naperville, and Jackie and Bill Larson Family of Morris.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, husband; one granddaughter: Gypsy Sue Sanches; sister: Marie Libert and brother: Ben King.

Per Mildred's wishes, Green Flameless Cremation rites have been accorded, and she will be laid to rest with her late husband in Clarendon Hills Cemetery.
