Age 79 of Morris, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday May 29, 2012 at his home.

Born October 2, 1932 in West Haverstraw, New York, Mike was a son of the late Michael and Mary Rose Zarriello-Delloro. He was raised and educated in New York, and graduated from Pratt Institute in New York City, with a degree in Chemical Engineering. On September 3, 1955, Mike married Dolores "Dee" Thomas in Plymouth, Pennsylvania and she survives. It was in 1953 that Mike began his career as a Chemical Engineer with DuPont, and his job moved him and his family from South Jersey to Northern Minnesota, Ottawa, Illinois, Hagerstown, Maryland, Birmingham, Alabama and North Jersey before retiring in 1987. In 1988 Mike and Dee then moved to Morris, where they have made their home for the past 24 years. After moving to Morris, Mike went back to work, taking on the position of plant manager with Explosive Technologies International (ETI) in Seneca, IL. and North Bay Ontario. He retired from LaRoche in December of 1997. Mike loved to golf and was a member of Morris Country Club. He also enjoyed wood working, spending time in his woodshop and vegetable gardening. He was devoted husband and father and will be remembered for his great pride in his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife Dee of Morris; son Michael of San Antonio, Texas; daughter Annette (James) Vanderwiel of Cary, Illinois; two grandchildren: Michael A. (fiancAC. Amanda Paige Seay) Delloro of Durant, Oklahoma and Suzanne Vanderwiel of DeKalb, Illinois; one sister Rose Ladden of Connecticut and one sister-in-law Elaine M. Thomas of New Jersey.

Per the wishes of the family, cremation rites have been accorded.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Mike's memory to the Morris Hospital Foundation, 150 West High Street, Morris, Illinois 60450 or We Care of Grundy County, 520 West Illinois Avenue, Morris, Illinois 60450.
