Mickey G. Montana, Jr.
Age 49 of Coal City, passed away unexpectedly Thursday August 16, 2007 at his home.
Born April 30, 1958 in Joliet, Mickey is the son of Roberta "Bobbie" June and the late Mickey G. Montana, Sr. He was raised and educated in Coal City and graduated from Coal City High School with the graduating Class of 1976. Mickey was a graduate of barber's college in Joliet and was also a licensed Phlebotomist. He enjoyed gardening, antiques and spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his mother Bobbie June Montana of Coal City; two sisters: Denise (Tracy) Nielsen of Braidwood and Melody (Gordon) Drauden of Coal City; one nephew Sean Decker; one niece Rachel Drauden; one uncle LaVern "Woody" Montana of Central City; one aunt Marilyn Montana of Braidwood and numerous cousins and friends.
Mickey was preceded in death by his father Mickey G. Montana, Sr. in 1998; maternal grandmother Mildred Ryszewski, paternal grandparents: Pete and Ivy Montana, one uncle Norman Montana, one aunt Billie Jo Robertson and his special friend Rita Balegno.
Visitation and Video Tribute will be held on Monday August 20, 2007 from 3:00PM until time of funeral services 7:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 75 North Broadway (one block North of Illinois Route 113) in Coal City. Dr. Thomas Logsdon will officiate and a private family interment will follow in Braceville-Gardner Cemetery.
Preferred memorials in lieu of flowers may be made as gifts in Mickey's memory to his family for distribution to local charities of their choice.
