Michele Ann Maland

Age 44 of Morris, passed away unexpectedly in her home on March 10, 2008.

She was born July 13, 1962 in Berwyn, a daughter of the late Ed and Diane Liebherr. Michele was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and aunt whom will be missed dearly. She loved her dog Shibu and frequent trips to Las Vegas with her husband. One of her favorite things to do was cooking and she was a chef at Harrah's Casino.

Survivors include her loving husband Michael Maland of Morris and their six children: Anthony (Catherine) Georgacopoulos, David Maland, Jessica Georgacopoulos, Julie (Manuel) Santana, Stacy (Jerad) Petracek and Stephanie (Eric) Snyder. Her grandson Dominic Maland and soon-to-be granddaughter Sophie Santana. Also surviving is her brother Michael Liebherr, sister Marguerite Berger and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Michele was preceded in death by her parents Ed and Diane Liebherr, grandmother Anne Felson and her twin brother Mark Liebherr.

Visitation and Video Tribute will be held on Thursday March 13, 2008 from 3:00PM until 7:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 408 East Washington Street (one block East of Illinois Route 47) in Morris. A celebration of her life will then follow the visitation Thursday evening at 546 East High Street in Morris.

Cremation rites will be accorded and Michele's children will be honorary pallbearers.

Preferred memorials in lieu of flowers may be made as gifts in Michele's memory to the American Diabetes Association or to a charity of the donor's choice.
