Michael Stanfel

Age 52 of Minooka, passed away Saturday April 28, 2007 at his home.

Born December 28, 1954, Michael was a son of the late August and Margaret (Eyerly) Stanfeld. He was raised and educated in Canton, Illinois and was a graduate of Canton High School. Michael was employed by IMTT in Lemont as a safety manager and fork lift operator. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, the outdoors, and was a huge Chicago Cubs fan.

Michael is survived by two daughters: Amanda (Paul) Maciulis of Brookfield, and Sarah (Doug Bromberek) Stanfel of Morris; three brothers: Bill Stanfel of Fargo, North Dakota, David Stanfel of Livermore, California, and Richard Stanfel of Canton.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife Sue (nee Stambaugh) in 2005.

Visitation will be held on Thursday May 3, 2007 at 11:00am until time of funeral service at 12:00 noon at Reeves Funeral Home, 408 E. Washington (1 block east of Illinois Route 47) in Morris. Dr. Thomas Logsdon from the Coal City United Methodist Church will officiate and burial will be in Sample Cemetery in Morris.

Preferred memorials in lieu of flowers may be made as gifts in Michael's memory to his family for distribution to local charities of their choice.
