Michael "Joseph" Shipman

Age 45 of Morris, passed away Monday afternoon, June 14, 2010 at Loyola Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois.

Born a son of George "Frank" and Renee W. Paraday-Shipman, Joe was raised and educated in Chicago and was a graduate of Hubbard High School in Chicago.

Survivors include his parents George "Frank" and Renee Shipman of Morris; one son Colby of Coal City; two brothers: Frank (Jennifer) Shipman and Daniel Shipman, both of Morris; five nieces and nephews: Jason, Heather, Kassandra, Daniel and Corey; one great nephew on the way, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, including special uncle Larry and cousin Danielle.

The family will receive friends on Saturday June 19, 2010 between the hours of 9:00AM and 1:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 75 North Broadway (one block North of Illinois Route 113) in Coal City. A procession will then follow to Mount Olivet Cemetery in Wilmington, where graveside services and interment will be held at 1:30PM.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Joe's memory to his family for distribution to local charities of their choosing.
