Michael John Lissy

Age 44 of Coal City passed away unexpectedly Monday, December 3, 2007 at his home.

Born December 7, 1962 in Joliet, Michael was a son of John and Suzanne (Hanley) Lissy. He was raised and educated in Coal City and was a 1981 graduate of Coal City High School. Michael worked for DeMert for over 20 years and was most recently employed as a Production Supervisor for Chicago Aerosol.

Michael was a member of the Coal City High School Touchdown Club, and he enjoyed cooking for various school sports and tailgating events, as well as Sunday sporting events. Michael enjoyed bike riding, walking, keeping up his lawn, and sports, especially the White Sox.

Survivors include his parents, two daughters Meghan (fiancAC. Scott Hodgen) and Marcie Lissy both of Coal City; one granddaughter Addison; one sister Beth (Willie) Wren of Coal City; two brothers Mark (Jean) Lissy of Coal City and Matthew (Melissa) Lissy of Scotsdale, AZ; nieces and nephews: TJ and Tim Peters, Lauren Wren, Amber and Caryn Lissy, Nicholas and Holden Feagler and John Hanley Lissy; special friend Lil Esparza of Coal City, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Michael is preceded by his Maternal and Paternal Grandparents; two uncles Joe Hanley and Dean Sanders, and one Aunt Nell Lissy.

Visitation will be Thursday December 6, 2007 from 4-8PM at Reeves Funeral Home in Coal City. Funeral Mass will follow on Friday December 7th at 10AM in Assumption Catholic Church in Coal City with Reverend Steve Bondi officiating.

Interment will be in Braceville Gardner Cemetery and pallbearers will be: Tom Hanley, Dave Hanley, Scott Hodgen, Robert Schmidtt, Tom Fulton, T.J. Peters.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts Michael's memory to the Family for distribution to charities of their choosing.
