Maynard A Larson

Maynard A. Larson, 86, of Newark, IL, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2024.
Born November 6, 1938 in Morris, he was the son of the late Arthur and Ruby (Norem) Larson. He attended Scott School and Newark High School. He married Suzanne (Ball) of Ottawa, IL, on December 10, 1960. Maynard worked for Wickes, Graves, and Beatty Lumber.
Maynard is survived by his wife Suzanne (Ball), of Newark, IL; his two children Scott (Sue) Larson and Steve (Holly) Larson of Newark, IL; sister Marlene (Dick) Raney of Sun City, Arizona; grandchildren Ashley, Luke (Alyssa), Jake (Meredith), Caeley, and Lyndsay; and great grandchildren Brody, Addison, and Eve.
Maynard is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Ruby Larson, and his sister, Ardus Blouw.
Maynard was a very active member of West Lisbon Church where he was a trustee and deacon. He was also a board member of the Newark Grade School and the Newark Senior Center.
Maynard was always thinking of his family and loved spending time with them. His walk with the Lord was very important to him. He also enjoyed spending time on the farm.
Memorials may be directed to the West Lisbon Church.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 11:00 am at West Lisbon Church with Pastor Andrew Seley officiating. Visitation will be held at 9:30 am until the time of the service at the church. Interment will be at West Lisbon Cemetery.
