May Louise Kay
"Louise"
Age 86 of Diamond passed away Wednesday October 15, 2014 in her home after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Louise was born May 11, 1928 in Fisher, Illinois to Otis Earl and Ruby Edith (Barrett) Carpenter. She married the late James P. Wilson in 1946 and had two daughters: Theresa "Ellouise" and Diana. Louise would also be married to Lester Keller on December 12, 1953 until his passing in 1976, and Howard Kay on November 17, 1979 until his passing in 1992. She was an active member of the Women of the Moose Chapter #544 affiliated with the Moose Lodge #967 of Morris, since 1970. Louise worked hard and made her way to the highest degree, College of Regents. She also spent time as recorder, and earned her Star Recorder degree. Louise was a member of the Academy of Friendship and a charter member of Northwest Fellowship Council of the Loyal Order of the Moose. She was an avid crafter, mainly working in crochet and her favorite thing to make were pineapple doilies. Louise could pick up an old doily and recreate it completely without a pattern to read. She passed her love of crafting on to her daughter Diana and her granddaughter Tammie. When Louise was healthier, you could often find the three of them set up at your local craft fair.
