Maxine Kollmann
Age 87 of Sun City, Florida formally of Joliet and Monroe, Connecticut passed away peacefully in her home on January 31, 2009.
Born October 29, 1922 in Morris, Mickey was a daughter of the late Jack and Mabel Palmer Heather. She graduated from Joliet Township High School and also received her nursing degree from Silver Cross School of Nursing. Mickey married Alvin Kollmann and together they were founding members of the Our Savior Lutheran Church of Joliet before moving to Monroe, Connecticut and then Florida.
Survivors include her loving son: David (Karen) Kollmann of Monroe, Connecticut; five grandsons; cousins: Fae Canaday of Florida, Kenneth Canaday of Arkansas, Carol (Donald) Kodrick and Janice (the late Frank) Cracraft of Shorewood, Jim (Sandy) Reeves and Gregory Reeves of Wilmington, Le Roy Johnson of Arkansas and numerous other cousins.
Mickey was preceded in death by her husband Alvin.
Visitation will be held on February 14, 2009 at 10:00 AM until time of service, 11:00am at Reeves Funeral Home, 219 North Joliet Street (two blocks North of Illinois Route 53 / Baltimore Street) in Wilmington. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Morris.
Preferred memorials in lieu of flowers may be made as gifts in Mickey's memory to The Lions Club or charities of the donor's choice.
