Max Roberts

Age 79 of Wilmington, passed away peacefully Wednesday September 19, 2007 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home.

Born September 28, 1927 in Martinsville, Illinois, Max was a son of the late Roy and Alma Roberts. He was retired from Reynolds Aluminum Corporation after many years of service and in his free time Max enjoyed long walks and visiting.

Survivors include two daughters: Connie Rice (Gary Peavler) and Sandy (Roy) Myers both of Joliet; stepdaughter Debbie Clark (Eric Hare) and one son Eric Clark both of Wilmington; three stepsons: John of Wilmington, Brian (Wendi) of Joliet and Jason Clark of Diamond. (9) Grandchildren, (18) Great grandchildren and numerous brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Max was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, brothers, one daughter Cindy Black, one grandson, his long time companion Norma Holstein (2007) and his former wife and the mother of his children Luella Lee.

Visitation will be Saturday September 22, 2007 from 1PM until time of service 2PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 219 North Joliet Street (two blocks North of Illinois Route 53 / Baltimore Street) in Wilmington. Rev. Ron Taylor will officiate and interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery Essex.
