Mary Louise Trammel

Age 74 of Golconda, Illinois and formerly of Coal City, passed away July 29, 2015 at her home surrounded by her husband Phillip; sons: John (Sherry) Trammel and Monty (Cheryl) Trammel; daughter Penny Trammel and granddaughter Brooke Tharp.

Born August 7, 1940 in Arenzville, Illinois, Mary Louise was a daughter of the late Howard and Veronica (Ernst) Borcherding. She married Phillip Trammel, and together they have been married for 55 years. Mary and Phillip enjoyed spending their winters in Florida and summers at their country home outside of Golconda with family and friends. She especially enjoyed spending time at both places with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband Phillip; sons: John (Sherry) Trammel of Coal City and Monty (Cheryl)Trammel of Diamond; daughter Penny Trammel of Diamond; seven grandchildren: Mallory (Matt) Cryder, Ian Trammel and Corey Trammel, all of Coal City, Wesley (Jennifer) Trammel of Braidwood, and Teah Trammel, Brooke (James) Tharp and Brandon Boyzch, all of Morris; two step grandchildren: Matthew Werner and Jason Francis, both of Golconda; three great grandchildren: Connor Heck, Beau Cryder and Eli Trammel and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents: Howard and Veronica Borcherding and one brother Donald.

Private family visitation and services were held on August 1, 2015 at Reeves Funeral Home in Coal City, and cremation rites followed.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Mary's memory to the Tornado Relief c/o The Community Foundation of Grundy County, 102 Liberty Street, Morris, Illinois 60450 or to Lourdes Hospice and Palliative Care, 1530 Loneoak Road, Paducah, Kentucky 42003.
