Age 92 of Wilmington, passed away Saturday December 26, 2009 at Silver Cross Hospital. Born July 2, 1917 in Syracuse, New York to the late William Henry & Jeanne (Hogan) Carb Also preceded in death by her husband Leroy Newman (1996)and one son Lee Newman. Survived by two loving sons Ralph "Bud" (Cindy) Newman of Wilmington and William (Darlene) Raia of Chicago; eight grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren. Member of the Phelan Acres Bible Church. Former owner/operator of Newman's Groceries In Phelan Acres from 1960 to 1977. A retired lieutenant of security for the Personal Products Co. of Johnson & Johnson in Wilmington retiring in 1995. Visitation Tuesday Dec 29, 2009 from 4:00PM until time of services at 7:00PM at the Freitag Funeral Home Wilmington with Pastor Rodney Chappell officiating. Interment will Be private Woodlawn Memorial Park Joliet. In lieu of flowers memorials to the family for Distribution to the charities of their choice would be appreciated.
