Mary E. McIntosh

Age 90 of Morris and Las Vegas, Nevada and formerly Dwight, passed away Friday, April 5, 2013 at All Care Group Home in Las Vegas, Nevada. Born November 12, 1922 in Hamilton County, she was a daughter of the late George and Elizabeth York-Thomas. Mary was raised and educated in Hamilton County. She was employed at the Dwight Correctional Facility as a nurse until her retirement.

Survivors include her two sons: George (Star) McIntosh of Las Vegas, Nevada and Paul (Sherry) McIntosh of Verona; five grandchildren: Chris McIntosh of Gardner, Scott McIntosh of Las Vegas, Kendall (Lori) McIntosh of Less Summit, Missouri, Tymara (David) Ehrler of Norton, Ohio, and Alana (Joshua) Doss of Joliet; twelve great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; one sister: Leone Pollard of Morristown, Tennessee as well as numerous, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband: William Herman; one brother: Edgar Thomas; one sister: Lucille Thomas and one grandson: William Herman McIntosh.

Visitation will be held Saturday, April 13, 2013 from 11:00am until time of services at 1:00pm at Reeves Funeral Home, 408 East Washington Street in Morris (one block east of IL Route 47). Pastor Caleb Counterman of the Faith Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery in Dwight.

In lieu of flowers, preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Mary's memory to her family for distribution to local charities of their choosing.
