Mary Frances Larson - Male
Age 81 of Morris and formerly Mazon, passed away Wednesday February 24, 2010 at Morris Hospital.
Born March 19, 1928 in Morris, Mary was a daughter of the late Oscar and Frances Terry-Larson. She was raised and educated in Morris and on December 18, 1948, Mary married Robert Leland Male in Morris. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Morris and enjoyed flower gardening, yard work and fishing. Mary also loved garage sales, collecting antique tea pots and cups and was known for caring for and spending time with her family.
Survivors include children: Pam (Andy) Payne of Oklahoma, Terry (Danette) Male of Wyoming, Bobbi (Pete) Brockman of Verona and Rhonda (Jimmy) Rynearson of Mazon; (20) Grandchildren; (38) Great Grandchildren; one brother John (Lessie) Larson of Morris; two sisters: Betty (Russell) Kukman of Morris and Sylvia (Bill) McCormack of Verona; brothers and sisters-in-law: Judy Larson of Morris, Jackie Larson of Sterling, Bud (Faye) Male of Morris, Leah (the late Bob) Christensen of Gardner and Ardella (Jim) Harris of Gravois Mills, Missouri and numerous nieces and nephews, as well as special friends Claudine Mathis of Louisville, Illinois and Audrey Mallicote of Morris.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband Robert; son Robert in infancy; daughter Jeanne Male-Lloyd; brothers: Jim, Charles and Oscar Larson and one sister Pearl in infancy.
Visitation and Video Tribute will be held on Sunday February 28th between the hours of 2:00PM and 5:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 75 North Broadway (one block North of Illinois Route 113) in Coal City. Funeral services will follow Monday March 1st at 10:00AM in the funeral home with Pastor Avery Wilson officiating.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Morris and pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be: Jason Brockman, Luke Brockman, Pete Brockman, Brian Degrush, Jimmy Rynearson, Drew Wethington, Tyler Fink, Cody Fink and Eric Melby.
Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Mary's memory to her family for distribution of local charities of their choosing.
