In Loving Memory of Mary Evelyn Magee-Huth “Murph”

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Evelyn Magee-Huth “Murph” on September 29, 2024 at the age of 65. She was the beloved wife of Mark and the cherished mother of Paige (husband Cole) and Sarra, as well as the stepmother of Jessica and Elizabeth. She is also survived by her brothers Bill (wife Barbara), Pat (wife Bonnie) and Tim (wife Cheryl), as well as her niece Mariko, nephew Sean and aunt Shirley. Her legacy continues through her five grandchildren: Aras, Senna, Sloane, Lillyana and Henry, who brought her immense joy.

Mary was the embodiment of joy, light and courage. She radiated love and warmth to everyone she met, and her faith in God was unwavering. She had a deep passion for fitness, always taking care of her mind, body and spirit, and she was always ready to go on a fun shopping trip or have good conversation over a bite to eat with those she loved. Mary was also a dear friend to many, always ready with a kind word and an open heart.

Having received a transplant herself, Mary deeply understood the gift of life that organ donation can provide. In her honor, the family asks that donations be made to Donate Life America and encourages everyone to consider registering as organ donors to give others the same second chance at life that Mary was so grateful for. Her vibrant spirit will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love, faith, kindness and friendship.

Family and friends are invited to join in honoring the life of Mary. Services will be held on Saturday, October 5th at Baskerville Funeral Home in Wilmington, IL. The viewing will take place from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by the funeral service. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Wilmington where Mary will be laid to rest with her mother. A celebration luncheon will be held immediately afterward at Grace Lutheran Church, 907 Luther Drive, in Wilmington, IL.
