Mary LaRocca

Age 95, a resident of Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home in Joliet, passed away Thursday September 18, 2014.

Born October 29, 1918 in Chicago, Mary was a daughter of the late Peter and Philomena (Liveri) LaRocca. She was a former resident of Chicago and LaGrange Park, and retired from Carson-Pirie-Scott, where she worked many years in the downtown store.

Survivors include one niece Carmelita (Peter) Collins of Wilmington; four nephews: Alfred (Dolores) Colombini of Naperville, Robert A. (Judy) LaRocca of Florida, Robert (Leighann) LaRocca of Iowa and Peter (Michelle) LaRocca of Missouri, as well as numerous great nieces and great nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; brothers and sisters: Rocco (Bea) LaRocca, Frank (Olga) LaRocca, Catherine LaRocca, Mildred LaRocca, Margaret LaRocca, Rose (Vincent) Nappi, Anne (Aladino) Colombini and Robert (Beverly) LaRocca and one niece Karen Sisk.

Visitation will be held Monday September 22, 2014 at Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home, 1201 Wyoming Avenue in Joliet from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 a.m.

Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery in Hillside.

Preferred memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home or for Masses in Mary's memory.
