Mary J. Crump
Age 103 of Wilmington passed away Sunday, February 28, 2016 at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet.
Born December 15, 1912 in Mitchell, Indiana, Mary Jane was a daughter of the late John and Katie (Jones) Welch. A member of Calvary Apostolic Church in Romeoville, Mary will be most remembered for her love of family.
Survivors include three children: Kenneth (Janet M.) Haycox of Philadelphia, Tennessee, Charlotte (Glenn) Bye of Wilmington and John (Janet S.) Haycox of Athens, Alabama; one step-daughter Betty (Bob) Stokes of New Albany, Indiana; grandchildren: Kenny (Elaine) Haycox, Anita Wilson, Robin (Steve) Smith, Carolyn (Greg) Allred, Jeff Fetz, Richard Fetz, Rodney (Vicky) Bye and Angie (Ricky) Popplewell; (32) great grandchildren and (23) great-great grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband Elmo Elden Crump; son John William Haycox; daughter and son-in-law: Rebecca and Fred Fetz; granddaughter Sherri Nelson and great grandchildren: Rebecca Bye and Nolan Russell.
Visitation and video tribute will be held on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington. The family will then receive friends Thursday morning at Calvary Apostolic Church, 16 Baker Circle in Romeoville from 9:30 a.m. until time of funeral service 10:30 a.m. Pastor Dennis Morris will officiate and burial will follow in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, where Mary will be laid to rest with her late husband Elmo.
