Mary "Tiz" Bolker (nee Sherwood)

Age 84 of Morris and formerly New Lenox, passed away Thursday May 24, 2012 at Provena Villa Franciscan in Joliet.

Born November 9, 1927 in Joliet, Mary was a daughter of the late James and Irene Sherwood. She was raised and educated in New Lenox and on February 19, 1949, Mary married Robert Bolker, who preceded her in death. Together Mary and Robert lived in New Lenox, and later in life retired to Winter Haven, Florida. She then returned to Illinois residing in Diamond prior to moving to Morris. Mary was a former member of Saint Jude Catholic Church in New Lenox and a charter member of the Coal City Area Club.

Survivors include her two children: Jim (Sandy) Bolker of Morris and Bonnie Cronenberg of Pompano Beach, Florida; two grandchildren: Austin Bolker and Jordan Bolker; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Bud and Millie Erickson and Bill and Claudia Bolker, both of New Lenox, and numerous nieces and nephews, as well as special friends: Neoma DeGard Knox of Apopka, Florida, Jay and Rita Fagen of New Lenox and Harold and Georgette Vota of Coal City.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband Robert J. Bolker.

Visitation and Video Tribute will be held on Tuesday May 29, 2012 between the hours of 4:30PM and 8:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 75 North Broadway (one block North of Illinois Route 113) in Coal City. Funeral services will follow Wednesday morning May 30th at 10:30AM in Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, 245 South Kankakee Street in Coal City. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Reverend Robert Noesen officiating and interment will be private.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Mary's memory to Grundy Community Volunteer Hospice, 518 West Illinois Avenue, Morris, Illinois 60450.
