Mary Frances Beeding
“Sharon”
Age 62 of Gardner, Illinois, formerly of Wilmington, Illinois, died peacefully on Sunday, July 30, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born December 19, 1960 in Great Lakes, Illinois, Sharon was a daughter of Cecil Flagle and Carol (Munts) Chaney. She was raised in Lake County, Illinois and later relocated to Wilmington. Sharon worked for 23 years as an independent living counselor with Trinity Services. She had a gift for making connections, not only with her clients, but also with her co-workers where she made many lifelong friends. Sharon enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing with her fiancé Jeff, mushroom hunting, and watching for hummingbirds and butterflies. Whether it was being out on the South Island feeding the swans, or swimming in Lake Will or her pool, at the water’s edge was her happy place. Sharon had several other interests, including biology and taxidermy, but also made delicious fried chicken that she loved to make for family and friends. Always first in her mind and heart was her children. She was a proud mother of four daughters and was blessed to see her family expand and grow into a bounty of cherished grandchildren. Sharon’s loving heart and beautiful smile will be her lasting legacy, and her wish would be for those she loved to remember all of the love she had for them.
Survivors include her daughters: Elizabeth (Josh) Grayling of Braidwood, Illinois, Nicole (Joseph) Hohner of Rolla, Missouri, Megan Beeding of Diamond, Illinois, and Stephanie Beeding of Rolla, Missouri; six grandchildren: Braxton Grayling, Zachary Faulkner, Brynlee Hohner, Hayley Hohner, Brycen Scott, and Gage Smith; seven siblings: Crystal (Chuck) Duckett of Fort Dodge, Iowa, Heather Grazier of Waukegan, Illinois, Dolly Madrigal of Missouri, Dolores Flagle of Canada, Sheri VanDyke of Florida, John Moss of Washington, and Marjorie Salisbury of Merrill, Wisconsin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil Flagle and Carol (Dale) Chaney; one sister, Shirley "Yvonne" Page, one grandson, Brayden Grayling, and her fiancé, Jeff Hurley.
