Martha J. Hampton

Age 82 of Minooka and formerly of Plainfield, passed away Tuesday morning, July 14, 2015 at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet.

Born September 26, 1932 in Portageville, Missouri, Martha Jean was a daughter of the late Otis and Wilma (Howell) Adams. She was raised and educated in Southeast Missouri, and on November 13, 1948, Martha married Hershel Hampton.

Survivors include her children: Belinda Hampton of Gardner, Gary (Robin) Hampton of Minooka and Aleshia (Isidro) Reyes of Godley; grandchildren: Terra (Phillip) Chapman, Deanna (Jorge) Bourricaudy, Nicole (Pete) Proimos, Stephanie (Jeffrey) Wink, James Hampton and Laura Pena; great grandchildren: Brenden, Isabella, Sophia, Jose, Thomas, Christian, Dante, Weston, Mackenzie, Charlotte and James; one sister Welta Cross of Missoui and one brother Marvin (Shirley) Adams of Missouri.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents; husband Hershel, daughter Diana Carreno, one sister Lela and one brother William "Bud".

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2015 between 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. at Reeves Funeral Home, 408 East Washington Street in Morris. Flameless Green Cremation will follow, and a private inurnment will be in Plainfield Township Cemetery at a later date.
