Marjorie M. Waznis

Age 85 of Wilmington and formerly Rockdale, passed away Thursday August 5, 2010.

Born January 30, 1925 in Joliet; Marjorie married Adolph E. Waznis October 18, 1946 in Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Joliet. She was a member of St. Joseph Parish in Rockdale, where she was previously involved with the C.C.W. and formerly worked as a waitress at Syl's in Rockdale.

Survivors include her children: Rosalie (Dean) Dennis of Wilmington, Thomas (Betty) Waznis of San Diego, CA, William (Cindy) Waznis of Rockdale and Alan (Phyllis) Waznis of Phoenix, AZ; seven grandchildren: Brian, Melissa, Amanda, Mark, Karen, Mike and Anne and seven great grandchildren: Brandon, Hailey, Patrick, Robby, Allie, Tyler and Riley.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents; husband Adolph on July 16, 2002, one brother Raymond Murray and one sister Dorothy Govoni.

Visitation and Video Tribute will be held on Sunday August 8, 2010 between the hours of 2:00PM and 6:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 219 North Joliet Street (two blocks North of Illinois Route 53 / Baltimore Street) in Wilmington. Marjorie will then lie in state at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, 1329 Belleview Avenue in Rockdale on Monday August 9th from 9:30AM until time of funeral service 10:30AM, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Reverend Joseph Kudilil officiating.

Burial will be in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood and pallbearers will be: Brian Waznis, Mark Waznis, Jeremy Pierce, Fred Koch, Jack Tyler and Joe Beemsterboer.
