Marjorie L. Tidmore
Age 86 of Wilmington, passed away Monday evening, December 21, 2015 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home.
Born May 13, 1929, Marjorie was a daughter of the late Alta and Grace (nee Booth) Tatro. She was raised in Roger City, Michigan and graduated from Roger City High School. In 1948, Marjorie married Hubert H. Tidmore Jr. in Moran County, Texas, and he preceded her in death. She worked as a bookkeeper, and retired from Wee Sip Liquors, after more than 20 years. Marjorie enjoyed ceramics, playing cards, cooking and baking, but most of all cherished her family.
Survivors include five children: Marsha (William) Sanders of Arlington, TX, Hubert “Trey” H. Tidmore III of Wilmington, Joseph (Jill) Tidmore of Wilmington, Tom (Claudia) Tidmore of Plainfield, and LuAnn (Mark) Mahalik of Wilmington; one sister Ruth Ann (the late Joe) Herkel of Georgia; (14) grandchildren; (15) great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews, as well as her dear friend Phyllis Haldorson of Wilmington.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers: Raymond and Beverly, and two sisters: Delores and Audrey.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. Celebration of Life at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington.
Green flameless cremation will follow the services.
Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Marjorie’s memory to Joliet Area Community Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
